For a long time, the etching decoration of glass products has been achieved by applying a hot wax layer and other hardening materials on the surface of the glass as an anti-corrosion layer. Then, patterns and patterns are carved on the coating using needles, knives, etc. to expose the surface of the glass, and then hydrofluoric acid is applied to this area for corrosion. This process is still used by manufacturers today, but its processing method is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and inefficient.
The silk screen etching process makes the etching decoration of glass products simple, time-saving, and labor-saving. There are two methods for etching screen printing of glass: hot printing and cold printing.
Thermoplastic etching screen printing is the process of preparing adhesives such as paraffin, asphalt, and stearic acid, adding a small amount of anti-corrosion powder to create an anti-corrosion printing material. By using a thermal printing screen, the printing material is scraped onto the surface of the glass according to the design pattern, forming an anti-corrosion film. The exposed part of the glass on the anti-corrosion film is the pattern that needs to be etched. The etching is carried out using chlorofluoric acid, and after etching, the anti-corrosion layer printed on the glass needs to be washed off with boiling water.
Glass screen etching can also be carried out using cold printing methods. Corrosion resistant printing materials can be made with specially made asphalt paint and corrosion resistant powder, or commercially available anti adhesive ink can be purchased. After printing is completed, the anti-corrosion film can be completely dried before hydrofluoric acid corrosion can be carried out.
Hot printing is suitable for etching bipartite and quadrilateral continuous pattern patterns, while cold printing is suitable for etching individual patterns.
Glass ice flower silk screen printing. Ice flower, commonly known as orange peel pattern, is actually a very small low melting point glass particle. This small glass particle has a high lead content and can be either colored or colorless. The colored phases include red, yellow, blue, green, white, etc. It can also be used to create intermediate tones.
Silk screen ice flower decoration, simple and elegant, is often used for architectural glass decoration and art glass decoration, such as the decoration of high-end glassware, lamps, etc.
The silk screen glass icing decoration of a glass screen printing processing company involves first screen printing a colored or colorless glass flux layer (flux) on the surface of the glass, and then scattering ice glass particles onto this layer of glass flux. Through sintering at 500~590 ℃, the flux layer and ice particle layer on the glass surface are co melted to produce a relief effect.
